Lawrenceville, Ga. – April 11, 2018 – Dedicated to educating an up-and-coming generation of environmental stewards, motivating the public to act on behalf of the local environment and advocating to keep Gwinnett County “clean and beautiful,” eco-focused nonprofit – Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful – has launched a new initiative to recognize outstanding individuals and businesses throughout the county. These individuals and businesses serve as shining examples for others to follow through the strides they are making on behalf of their community and the impact they are having on the local environment. Nominations are accepted and reviewed in order for one business to be declared Community Crusader and one individual to be name Unsung Hero each quarter.
“As a Keep America Beautiful affiliate, we know we could never do what we do all alone,” said Schelly Marlatt, Executive Director of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. “It takes teamwork and vision from a vast network of people in order to achieve our mission of making Gwinnett County one of the cleanest, greenest and most livable communities in the nation.
